Buyer Beware! Eat this, not that! Do it yourself Chewy Granola Bars

Take a look at granola bars... they seem innocent enough but are loaded with GMOs and additives to avoid like artificial colors, flavors, tons of added sugar....and soybean oil!
Based on genetic testing, I discovered that I am highly sensitive to carbohydrates and my inflammation is at risk.  I need to keep my sugar intake at less that 24 grams per day, and increase my Omega3s to fight off inflammation from the typical American Diet High in Omega 6.
I discovered these bars instead... 138 calories, naturally sweetened, and contain walnuts for healthy Omega 3s.
Chewy Energy bars:
  • 1.5 cups cashews
  • .25 cup oats
  • 6 dates pitted
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • .25 tsp sea salt
  • .25 cup toasted walnuts
  • .33 Cup mini chips
Combine all in food processor except walnuts and chocolate chips - Stir in after. Press in parchment lined 8x8 pan. Freeze for four hours.
